Dr. John was s/o Matilda Burgin (Nov 12, 1812 - Feb 10, 1879) and Michael Isreal Edmundson (1806 - 24 Dec 1848). Matilda was d/o Abner Burgin (Mar 10, 1789 - Abt 1837) and Margaret Patton (1794 - 1850+).
The name John Burgin existed for three generations in the Edmundson family.
